How to Make Dandelion Infused Oil

Ingredients:

– Fresh dandelion flowers – Carrier oil (such as avocado oil, olive oil, or sweet almond oil) – Glass jar with a lid

1. After harvesting your dandelions, lay them out in a single layer and let them dry for 1–2 days. This helps reduce moisture and prevent mold during the infusion. Be sure your flowers are completely dry before infusing to avoid spoilage. You can also purchase dried dandelion flowers and use them.

1. Once dried, place the flowers into a glass jar, filling it about halfway. Pour your carrier oil over the flowers until they are completely covered. Make sure all the plant material is submerged. You can use any carrier oil you like; I used avocado oil for mine

1. Seal the jar and place it in a warm, sunny spot. Let it infuse for about 6 weeks, gently shaking the jar every few days. 1. After the infusion period, strain out the flowers using a fine mesh strainer or cheesecloth.
